How does a referral for new business effect your business
THE LITTLE DOLLAR THAT COULD
Once upon a time, there was a little dollar bill that was lost and alone.
The little dollar felt unwanted and insignificant.
But one day, Randy Denham was cleaning out his car and found the little dollar under the floor mat. Although it was crumpled and dirty, it still had value and was about to embark on a journey that would describe its worth. The little dollar was going to fulfill its destiny by helping to stimulate the economy.
So Randy did the wise thing and called his investment representative Pat Barnhard from Edward Jones to put the dollar into his investment account. Pat took the dollar to Bank 10 and give it to Vice President Nick Hadley to deposit it into the proper account. Nick had just finished writing up some new legal documents so he took them to his attorney, Jonathan Zerr from Kapke Willerth & Leonard LLC for review. Jonathan had decided that he wanted to buy a new house, so he consulted his friend Daniel O'Neill, an agent with Reece & Nichols to see what was available. As a favor to Jonathan, Daniel called upon the services of his friend Vickie Zagar, a Mortgage Loan Specialist at AmStar Mortgage Corporation, for to help get Jonathan pre-approved for financing. After the meeting, Vickie went to see Glenda Barker, a security consultant with DecureNet Slarm Dystems, Inc. about putting in a new alarm at her office. Later that day Glenda went to see Jeremy Provenmire of StratoBlue Communications inc about doing some advertising for her company. Jeremy's business was doing so well that he needed a bigger office so he called Lori Harp, Director of Marketing at CEAH Realtors to see about some office space. Lori was so excited about getting a new client that she treated herself to a massage with Donna Denrow, a massage therapist with Essential Dynamics, Inc. Donna wanted her business to grow as well so she called Tom Waters from Corporate Copy Print to print some new advertising brochures. Toms back was a little sore from moving around all of those paper boxes so he went to his chiropractor, Dr. Shawna Evans. Shawna needed a new computer system to run a new chiropractic software package she just purchased so she called John Burke from Market SmartTek to get her new PC and set it up. John helped her out and then treated himself to some ice cream so he went to see Tim Davis at the Cold Stone Creamery. Tim served up the ice cream and then went home to meet Phil Campbell of Campbells Carpet & Upholstery Cleaning to get his living room carpet cleaned. Phil needed a new dental plan for his employees so he went to see Charlie Booth, an account executive at Consolidated Services. Charlie needed some new family photographs so he called Kelly Blosser at Best of Times Photography to schedule engagement pictures. Kelly was planning on taking a trip to a photographers convention so he clled Becca Roberts, president of the Travel Store to book his flight for him. Becca had planned a new promotion and needed a new website to advertise it. She called Randy Denham, of Denham Domains, LLC to host her new website. When he received payment, something caught his eye. What was it? None other than the not so lonely, very significant and well traveled dollar bill that he had found in his car just a few days ago.
That is how the little dollar went from:
Randy to Pat to Nick to Jonathan to Daniel to Vickie to Glenda to Jeremy to Lori to Donna to Tom to Shawna to John to Tim to Phil to Charlie to Jeff to Becca and back to Randy.
And that one little dollar helped to:
Draw interest, get a lawyer, buy a house, get a loan, provide security, advertise a business, rent office space, get a massage, print brochures, get an adjustment, buy ice cream, clean carpets, get a dental plan, get auto insurance, book a honeymoon, and host a website.
And they say a dollar doesn't go very far these days!!
